THE PROMISE OF MUSON FESTIVAL 2014 (3) - TAIWO OMOSHOWO

“…Our patrons should expect to be refreshed… with unique African rhythm”

Can you briefly introduce yourself?

My name is Taiwo Omoshowo and I play the Cello and I have been part of the MUSON Symphony Orchestra for a year now and it has been a remarkable experience so far.

What should people expect?

Well, they have always been asking for something close to home and now they will have it. They should expect to be refreshed with something interestingly unique like the African rhythm.

What’s your opinion on the new artistic director?

Professionally, he has a rhythmic African style which is why we are going to be doing lots of African pieces which represents our rhythm. As Africans, I am of the opinion that we should do more of our music as this could also serve as another avenue for tourism.
