THE PROMISE OF MUSON FESTIVAL 2014 (1) - TOSIN OLUWADARE

“…expect something unique… the best you’ll ever get”

Can you tell us more about yourself?

My name is Tosin Oluwadare. I play the alto saxophone and I am part of the MUSON Symphony Orchestra.

What should the people expect?

They should expect something unique and the best because that’s what they’ll get.
How has it been so far, working with the new Artistic Director?
It’s been nice and quite interesting so far because we are doing more of African songs unlike the other times when we do only western songs. He is unique, coming with a new instrument, that isn’t so common around here, which is the Kora and he also plays the Cello as well as has his own solo. Some of his compositions going to be performed during the festival and they are extremely African and that is what makes him uniquely talented.
